Filling the water
Lift the water container from the base using the handle. Press the button to open the lid. Fill the container, observing the internal scale for cups and litres. Ensure the lid clicks audibly into place after filling.
Boiling water
Place the filled water container on the base and press the on/off switch down.
Interrupting a boiling process
If you need to stop the boiling process early, push the on/off switch up.
Removing water
Once the switch springs up, the boiling process is complete. Lift the container from the base using the handle to pour. Keep the lid closed while pouring.
Maintenance
Clean the base and the water container with a damp, lint-free cloth. Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Do not clean in a dishwasher or under running water.
Descaling
Descale the kettle regularly before visible limescale forms. Fill the container to the MAX mark with water and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar essence. Boil the water and let it stand for 1 hour before pouring it out. Rinse the container by boiling clear water once and pouring it out.

Troubleshooting
If the appliance switches off prematurely, ensure there is enough water (at least 0.25L) or descale the container. If the water takes longer than usual to boil, descale the container. If the appliance does not work, ensure the container is seated correctly on the base or clean the base contacts.
