Quick guide from the manual

This document provides instructions for operating the remote controller for ACiQ pancake-style ducted air handlers (models ACiQ-18W-P, 24W-P, 30W-P, 36W-P). Ensure the unit is plugged in and powered before use. The remote must be within 8 meters of the unit for effective signal transmission.

Handling the Remote Controller

To insert or replace batteries, slide the back cover downward, insert two R03/LR03 batteries matching the (+) and (-) symbols, and slide the cover back. Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for more than 2 months.

Basic Functions

  • AUTO Mode: The unit automatically selects COOL, FAN, or HEAT based on the set temperature. Fan speed cannot be adjusted in this mode.
  • COOL/HEAT Mode: Select the mode, set the desired temperature, and adjust the fan speed.
  • DRY Mode: The unit operates to dehumidify. Fan speed is automatically controlled.
  • FAN Mode: Only circulates air. Temperature cannot be set.

Advanced Functions

  • Swing: Press the Swing button for horizontal louver movement. Hold for 2 seconds to activate vertical louver swing (model dependent).
  • ECO/GEAR: Press to enter energy-efficient modes. ECO adjusts temperature to 24°C/75°F. GEAR allows selection of 75% or 50% electrical energy consumption.
  • Follow Me: The remote measures ambient temperature at its location and sends it to the unit every 3 minutes for optimized comfort.
  • TIMER: Set the unit to turn on or off automatically. Time increases in 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
  • CLEAN: Activates self-clean or active clean functions to remove dust and mold from the heat exchanger.
  • LOCK: Press Clean and Turbo buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to lock/unlock the remote.

Safety and Troubleshooting

If the indoor unit does not support a specific function, pressing the corresponding button on the remote will have no effect. Curtains, other materials, and direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal receiver. If the remote signal is received, the unit will beep.
