The AirLive SFP-SR-10G-300M is a high-performance, low-power multi-mode SFP+ fiber transceiver designed for serial optical data communication. It supports data rates up to 10Gbps and distances up to 300 meters. This module is hot-pluggable and features DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) to assist in identifying connection faults.
Product Overview
This transceiver is designed for Gigabit Ethernet applications and provides an IEEE802.3ae compliant link. It utilizes an 850nm VCSEL laser and a PIN photo detector. The module is intended for use with single-mode dual fiber setups.

Features
- 10Gbps high-speed data transmission
- Distance support up to 300 meters
- Hot-pluggable capability for easy installation
- Low power consumption (less than 1.0W)
- Excellent ESD protection and very low EMI
- DDM support for monitoring fiber connections
Applications
The module is suitable for various high-speed networking environments, including:
- High-speed storage area networks
- Computer cluster cross-connects
- Fiber Channel infrastructure
- STM-16 Optical Interfaces
- ATM Switches and Routers
- SDH/SONET Switch Infrastructure
Installation and Usage
The SFP-SR-10G-300M is hot-pluggable, meaning it can be inserted into or removed from an SFP+ port on a switch or router without powering down the host device. Ensure the fiber cable uses an LC Duplex connector. Use the DDM function via your network switch interface to monitor the connection status and troubleshoot any faults.

Common problems
Ensure the module is fully inserted into the SFP+ port and the LC Duplex fiber cable is securely connected. Check the switch interface for DDM data to identify specific faults.
Verify that the host device (switch/router) supports 10Gbps SFP+ modules and that the port is configured correctly.
Before use
- Verify the SFP+ port on your switch or router supports 10Gbps.
- Ensure the fiber cable uses an LC Duplex connector.
- Check that the operating environment temperature is between 0°C and +70°C.
- Confirm the host device provides a power supply voltage of 3.3V.
- Ensure the module is handled with care to maintain ESD protection.
Specs in practice
- Hot-pluggable
- Allows installation or removal while the device is powered on.
