This guide provides instructions for the maintenance and assembly of the grinder unit for the Amazon Basics 106D Espresso Machine. Regular cleaning is essential for consistent grinding results and optimal coffee extraction. Follow the steps below to maintain your machine's performance.
Grinder removal

- Take the bracket out.
- Press the red release button and turn the grinder clockwise to release it.
- Once you hear a click sound and feel the grinder is unlocked, pull it out in a downward direction.
- Rotate the distributor clockwise to release it from the grinder.
Cleaning the grinder

- Clean the outside of the grinder with the cleaning brush.
- Clean the inside of the grinder with the cleaning brush.
- Clean the distributor with the cleaning brush.
Reassembly

- After cleaning, rotate the distributor anti-clockwise to assemble it to the grinder.
- Note: The fastener of the distributor must point at the groove of the grinder, otherwise it cannot be assembled successfully.
- If the distributor is installed correctly, a small triangle plate will appear on the top.
- Insert the grinder into the espresso machine.
- Hold the grinder and turn it anti-clockwise to lock it. You will hear a click sound when it is tight in place.
Troubleshooting
If the grinder is not assembled in place, please check whether the baffle inside the coffee machine is locked correctly.
