This guide provides essential information for the safe installation and operation of your ASUS TUF Gaming Power Supply Unit (PSU). Always ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before performing any installation or maintenance.

Product overview

The PSU features a rear panel with the following controls:

• 0 dB Fan button: Pressing this button toggles the 0dB function. When active, the fan may stop spinning under low loads. Pressing it disables the function, allowing the fan to spin at all times. Note that availability of this feature may vary by model.
• Power switch: Used to turn the power supply on (I) or off (O).
• Power connector: The input for the AC power cord.

Installing your Power Supply Unit

1. Follow your computer chassis manual to secure the power supply unit into the case using the provided mounting screws.
2. Connect the bundled modular cables to the power supply unit.
3. Connect the power connectors to your motherboard and peripheral devices. Ensure you use the correct cables for each component:
   • Main Power Connector (24/20-pin): Connects to the motherboard's main power socket.
   • CPU +12V Power Connector (4+4-pin): Connects to the CPU power socket on the motherboard.
   • Peripheral Power Connector (4-pin): Connects to peripheral devices as needed.
   • PCI-E +12V Power Connector (6+2-pin): Connects to your graphics card.
   • SATA Power Connector: Connects to devices with a Serial ATA interface.
4. Connect the power cord to the PSU and a wall outlet.
5. Flip the power switch to the 'I' position to turn on the system.

Safety information

The power supply unit contains high-voltage components. To ensure safety and maintain your warranty:

• NEVER open the power supply case. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• Do not insert any objects into the PSU or block the fan/ventilation area.
• Use only the modular cables bundled with the unit.
• Operate the unit in a suitable environment (0°C to 40°C, 20% to 80% relative humidity).
• The unit is intended for internal computer use only; do not use it outdoors or near water.
