Installation and Location
Proper installation is critical for the performance and longevity of the unit.

- Orientation: If the unit was transported on its side, let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in.
- Surface: Install on a strong, level surface to prevent noise and malfunction.
- Environment: Use indoors in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and dusty areas.
- Clearance: Maintain at least 6 inches of clearance on both sides and the back of the unit at all times.
- Placement: Keep away from heat and moisture-generating equipment.
Electrical Requirements
- Ensure the unit is plugged into a grounded, properly-sized electrical outlet with over-current protection.
- The unit requires its own dedicated outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- After unplugging, wait at least 10 minutes before plugging it back in to avoid compressor damage.
Adjusting the Temperature
The unit is factory-set to run at optimum temperatures. The default cycle is between -5°F and 2°F.

To adjust the minimum temperature:
- Hold the SET button for 1 second. The display will flash the current minimum temperature.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust to the desired minimum temperature.
- Press SET again to save the settings.
Note: The cabinet temperature will fluctuate up to +7°F over your set minimum temperature as the compressor cycles.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Condenser Coil: Clean at least once per month using a commercial condenser coil cleaner. Keep free of dust, dirt, and lint.
- Fan Blades and Motor: Clean with a soft cloth. Cover the motor if washing blades to prevent moisture damage.
- Interior: Clean with warm water and mild soap. Do not use steel wool, caustic soap, or bleach.
- Door Gaskets: Wash weekly. Remove from the frame, soak in warm soapy water for 30 minutes, dry, and replace. Check for a proper seal after reinstallation.
