Installation and Location

Proper installation is critical for the performance and longevity of the unit.

  • Orientation: If the unit was transported on its side, let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in.
  • Surface: Install on a strong, level surface to prevent noise and malfunction.
  • Environment: Use indoors in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and dusty areas.
  • Clearance: Maintain at least 6 inches of clearance on both sides and the back of the unit at all times.
  • Placement: Keep away from heat and moisture-generating equipment.

Electrical Requirements

  • Ensure the unit is plugged into a grounded, properly-sized electrical outlet with over-current protection.

Adjusting the Temperature

Note: The cabinet temperature will fluctuate up to +7°F over your set minimum temperature as the compressor cycles.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Condenser Coil: Clean at least once per month using a commercial condenser coil cleaner. Keep free of dust, dirt, and lint.
  • Fan Blades and Motor: Clean with a soft cloth. Cover the motor if washing blades to prevent moisture damage.

  • Door Gaskets: Wash weekly. Remove from the frame, soak in warm soapy water for 30 minutes, dry, and replace. Check for a proper seal after reinstallation.

Compressor is not running
