This document provides instructions for the Avide 4-zone RF touch panel remote control. Note that this remote control cannot operate a LED strip on its own; it requires at least one (and up to four) compatible controller units, which are not included in the package. Proper wiring and pairing with the controller are essential for the system to function.
Installation and Wiring
Ensure correct electrical connections for the controller unit:
- Connect the brown wire to the (L) terminal.
- Connect the blue wire to the (N) terminal.
After connecting to the power supply, you must pair the remote control with the controller unit(s) for the system to operate.
Remote Control Functions
The touch panel features the following controls:
- 60s Delay Off: 60-second delay timer.
- Master ON: Turns all zones on.
- Master OFF: Turns all zones off.
- Zone ON/OFF: Individual buttons for zones 1-4.
- Brightness Slider: Adjusts the brightness level.
- Pairing/Unpairing: Dedicated function for zone synchronization.
Pairing and Unpairing
To ensure the remote communicates with the controller, follow these steps within 5 seconds of powering on the device:
- Pairing: Briefly press the ON button of the desired zone 3 times. If successful, the LED strip will flash 3 times.
- Unpairing: Briefly press the ON button of the desired zone 5 times. If successful, the LED strip will flash 9 times.
If the process fails, disconnect the power from the mains and try again.

Common problems
Remote control does not operate the LED strip.
Ensure the remote is correctly paired with the controller unit. If pairing fails, disconnect power and repeat the process.
Pairing or unpairing process is unsuccessful.
Ensure you perform the button presses within 5 seconds of powering on the device. If it still fails, disconnect from the mains and retry.
Before use
- Verify you have at least one compatible controller unit (ABLS12VDIMM-RFC-4Z).
- Ensure the brown wire is connected to the (L) terminal.
- Ensure the blue wire is connected to the (N) terminal.
- Confirm the power supply is within the 180-240V range.
