The Behringer BOD400 is a high-quality effects pedal designed for bass guitar. It provides tube-like distortion, smooth sustain, and a fat tone. The pedal does not have a dedicated power switch; it activates automatically when a jack is inserted into the IN connector.
Controls
- LEVEL: Adjusts the overall output volume.
- HIGH: Boosts or cuts the high-frequency range.
- LOW: Boosts or cuts the low-frequency range.
- GAIN: Adjusts the intensity of the overdrive effect.
- BAL (Balance): Mixes the dry direct signal with the processed effect signal.
- ON/BATT LED: Indicates when the effect is active and serves as a battery level indicator.
- Footswitch: Toggles the effect on or off.
Setup and Operation
Connect your instrument to the IN connector and your amplifier to the OUT connector using 1/4" TS cables. To save battery life, always remove the cable from the IN connector when the pedal is not in use.
Power Supply and Battery
The pedal can be powered by a 9 V battery or an external 9 V power supply (not included). The battery compartment is located under the footswitch. To access it, use a ballpoint pen to carefully press the hinge and remove the pedal cover.
