Quick guide from the manual
The Behringer FX600 is a 24-bit digital stereo multi-effects pedal featuring Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, Delay, Tremolo, and Pitch Shifter effects. It is designed for versatile sound shaping with extensive tone and parameter controls.
Controls
The pedal features the following controls:
- LEVEL: Adjusts the output volume.
- PAR 1 & PAR 2: Multi-functional controls that change behavior based on the selected effect.
- FX: Selects between the six available modulation effects.
- Footswitch: Activates or deactivates the effect.
- ON/BATT LED: Indicates when the effect is active and serves as a battery level indicator.
Effect Descriptions
- CHORUS: Adds a slight detune to the original signal for a pleasant, shimmering effect.
- FLANGER: Simulates the phase-shifting effect of two synchronized tape recorders.
- PHASER: Adds a phase-shifted signal to the original, creating a thicker, livelier sound.
- PITCH SHIFTER: Slightly detunes the audio signal.
- TREMOLO: Periodically modulates the input signal level for a quivering sound.
- DELAY: Repeats the input signal with adjustable timing and feedback.
Connections and Power
The FX600 does not have an on/off switch. It activates automatically when a jack is inserted into the IN A connector. Always remove the input jack when not in use to preserve battery life.
- Inputs: Use IN A and IN B for stereo signals. Use only IN A for mono.
- Outputs: Use OUT A and OUT B for stereo output. Use only OUT A for mono.
- Power: Powered by a 9V battery or an external 9V power supply (not included).
Battery Replacement
The battery compartment is located under the pedal cover. To replace the battery, press the hinges on the sides of the pedal cover with a ballpoint pen and remove the cover carefully.
