Quick Start Guide

The Behringer TUBE AMP MODELER TM300 is an effects pedal designed to simulate classic tube amplifier sounds. The device does not have a dedicated on/off switch. It activates automatically as soon as you insert a cable into the IN connector. To preserve battery life, always remove the input cable when the pedal is not in use.

Controls and Connections

The pedal features several controls to shape your sound:

  • LEVEL: Adjusts the overall output volume.
  • LOW: Boosts or cuts the low-frequency range.
  • HIGH: Boosts or cuts the high-frequency range.
  • DRIVE: Controls the intensity of the overdrive effect.
  • MIC Switch: Simulates microphone placement (CLSIC, CNTR, OFF X).
  • MODE Switch: Selects gain settings (HOT, HI G, CLN).
  • AMP Switch: Selects the amp model (TWEED, BRIT, CALIF).
  • Footswitch: Activates or deactivates the effect.
  • IN/OUT: 1/4" TS connectors for instrument and amplifier connection.
  • DC IN: Connection for a 9V power supply (not included).

Amp Modeling Configurations

The TM300 offers 27 possible configurations by combining three settings:

  • AMP (Amplifier Type): Select TWEED for crystal-clear, transparent sounds with dynamic bass. Select BRIT(ISH) for aggressive mids and sustain. Select CALIF(ORNIAN) for rounder, sophisticated sounds ideal for leads.
  • MIC (Microphone Placement):CLSIC provides high mid-range content and note definition. CNTR offers increased high mid-range and low-end for a crunchy sound. OFF X produces a smoother, softer sound.
  • MODE (Gain Setting): Choose between HOT, HI G, or CLN to determine the gain structure of your selected amp.
