Product Description

The GCB 18V-127 is a cordless band saw designed for cutting plastic, metal, and rubber on a stable surface. It features adjustable blade speed, a worklight, and a hanging hook for storage.

Battery Operation

Use only Bosch 18V GBA or ProCORE18V batteries. To insert, slide the charged battery into the battery holder until it clicks. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out. Check the charge level using the LEDs on the battery.

Warning: Always remove the battery before performing maintenance or changing the blade.

  • Blade Replacement: Move the pre-tension lever to the release position. Open the cover using the locking clips. Guide the new blade into the guides and around the rollers. Return the pre-tension lever to the tension position. Close and lock the cover.
  • Guide Adjustment: Use the guide to ensure safe and precise cuts. Loosen the screws on the guide, adjust to the required length, and retighten the screws.

Operation

To switch on, press the lock-off switch on the rear, then press and hold the on/off switch. The worklight illuminates the cutting area. To switch off, release the on/off switch and press the lock-off switch on the front to secure the tool. The tool features restart protection and temperature-dependent overload protection.

Working Advice

Hold the tool firmly with both hands and ensure a stable footing. Select a sawing position where as many teeth as possible are in the cut. Adjust blade tracking if the distance between the blade and the upper edge of the roller exceeds 3 mm using the adjustment screw.
