Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch GSR 12V-15 FC Professional is a cordless drill/driver designed for driving and loosening screws and for drilling in wood, metal, and plastic. It features a modular design compatible with various adapters (GFA 12-W, GFA 12-E, GFA 12-X, GFA 12-B).
Device Description
The tool features a torque presetting ring, a 2-speed gear selector, a battery charge-control indicator, and an integrated work light. The tool holder is a 6.35 mm (1/4") hex socket.
Assembly
Battery Charging: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged; charge it fully before the first use. The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharge by Electronic Cell Protection (ECP).
Changing the Tool: Remove the battery before any work on the tool. Insert the application tool into the mounting 1. To mount an adapter, insert it into the mounting 1 and turn the locking ring 14 until it audibly engages.
Operation
Starting Operation: Set the rotational direction switch 6 to the center position to prevent accidental starting. Insert the charged battery 5 into the handle until it engages.
Torque Setting: Use the torque presetting ring 2 to select the required torque in 15 steps. The "drill" position deactivates the safety clutch.
Gear Selection: Use the gear selector 3 only when the tool is at a standstill. Gear 1 is for screwdriving or large drilling diameters; Gear 2 is for small drilling diameters.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always remove the battery before transport, storage, or maintenance. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.
