Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch GSR 12V-15 FC Professional is a versatile cordless drill/driver designed for driving and loosening screws as well as drilling in wood, metal, and plastic. It features a modular design compatible with four different adapters: GFA 12-W (angle), GFA 12-E (off-set angle), GFA 12-X (bit holder), and GFA 12-B (drill chuck).
Assembly and Tool Change
Battery Charging: Only use the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged; charge it fully before first use. The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharge by Electronic Cell Protection (ECP).
Changing the Tool: Always remove the battery before performing any work on the tool (maintenance, tool change, etc.) or during transport/storage. Insert the application tool into the mounting (1) until it stops.
Mounting Adapters: Remove the application tool. Insert the desired adapter into the mounting (1) and turn the locking ring (14) until it audibly engages.
Operation
Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch (6) to change the direction. Do not operate while the On/Off switch (7) is pressed.
Torque Preselection: Use the torque presetting ring (2) to select the required torque in 15 steps. The drill position is marked with a drill symbol.
Gear Selection: Use the gear selector (3) only when the tool is at a standstill. Gear 1 is for low speed (screwdriving/large drilling diameters), and Gear 2 is for high speed (small drilling diameters).
Overload Protection: The tool is protected against overload by temperature-dependent circuitry. If overloaded or outside the permitted temperature range, the power output is reduced or the tool switches off.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. If the battery is no longer functional, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
