Device Description

The tools are designed for driving and loosening screws and for drilling in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. The GSB model is additionally designed for impact drilling in brick, masonry, and stone.

Assembly and Operation

Charging the Battery: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged; fully charge it before first use.

Changing the Tool: The drill spindle is locked when the on/off switch is not pressed. Open the keyless chuck by turning it in the direction of rotation ➊, insert the tool, and firmly tighten the chuck by hand in the direction of rotation ➋.

Operation:

  • Inserting the Battery: Push the charged battery into the base of the tool until it locks.
  • Setting Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch only when the tool is at a standstill.
  • Setting Operating Mode: Use the torque presetting ring (GSR) or operating mode presetting ring (GSB) to select between drilling, screwdriving, or impact drilling (GSB only).
  • Switching On/Off: Press and hold the on/off switch to start; release to stop.

Maintenance and Safety

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. The LED worklight also serves as a status indicator: flashing 3x during operation indicates low battery; flashing 3x after stopping indicates active device protection.

Tool does not start or stops during operation

Check battery charge level. If low, charge or replace the battery. If the device protection is active (flashing LED), allow the tool to cool down.

Drill bit or screwdriver bit slips

Ensure the keyless chuck is firmly tightened by hand. For larger screws in hard materials, pre-drill a pilot hole.
