Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential information for the safe and proper use of the Bosch EasyGrassCut 18V-230, 18V-26, and 18V-260 trimmers. Always remove the battery before performing any adjustments, cleaning, or maintenance. Ensure bystanders are at a safe distance during operation.

Assembly

Connect the shaft parts until they click into place. Attach the handle and adjust it to your preferred position. Mount the protection guard on the trimmer head using the provided screw. Ensure the plant protection frame is in the correct position.

Operation

To switch on, press the lock-off button, then press and hold the On/Off switch. To switch off, release the switch. The trimmer head can be rotated 180° for edge cutting. Move the trimmer left and right, keeping it away from your body. Cut tall grass in stages.

Battery and Charging

Charge the battery using a recommended Bosch charger. The battery has temperature monitoring that only allows charging between 0°C and 35°C. The charger indicates status via LED lights (flashing for charging, solid for fully charged or temperature error).

Maintenance and Line Replacement

Regularly clean the trimmer and check for damage. To replace the line, remove the battery, press the latches on the spool cover, and remove the empty spool. Wind approximately 4.0m of new line onto the spool uniformly and tightly. Reinstall the spool and cover. The trimmer features a semi-automatic line feed system that advances 10mm of line with each press of the On/Off switch.

Troubleshooting

If the motor does not start, check if the battery is charged or too hot/cold. If the trimmer vibrates heavily, check the cutting system for damage or debris. For persistent issues, contact Bosch customer service.
