Product Description
The pole pruner is designed for pruning trees at elevated heights while the user stands on the ground. Key components include the drive sprocket, chain tensioning screw, chain bar, saw chain, oil filler cap, and telescopic tube.

Assembly

Pole Pruner Assembly
- Connect the pole pruner head and the telescopic handle until the locking button clicks. Secure by tightening the wing bolt.
- Attach the shoulder strap hooks to the strap loops on the handles. Ensure the larger hook is on the rear handle and the smaller hook is on the front handle.
Mounting the Chain Bar and Tensioning the Saw Chain
- Place the pole pruner head on a level surface with the cover facing upwards.
- Remove the cover by unscrewing the fastening nut.
- Attach the saw chain to the chain bar, ensuring the teeth are in the correct direction.
- Fit the chain around the drive sprocket and slide the chain bar over the fastening bolts.
- Replace the cover and tighten the fastening nut slightly.
- Use the assembly tool to turn the chain tensioning screw until the chain is tensioned. The correct tension is achieved when the chain can be lifted approx. 3-4 mm from the chain bar.
- Tighten the fastening nut securely.
Operation

Filling the Oil Reservoir
The pole pruner is not supplied filled with oil. It is essential to fill it with Bosch biodegradable chain saw oil before use. Operating without oil will damage the chain bar and saw chain.
Switching On and Off
To switch on, slide the lock-off button forward, place your palm on the user presence switch, and press the On/Off switch. Keep both pressed during operation. To switch off, release both switches.
Maintenance
- Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean.
- Clean the chain bar and saw chain before storing the product for an extended period.
- Inspect the saw chain for damage and replace or sharpen it if necessary.
- Empty the oil reservoir before storing the tool.
Troubleshooting
If the saw chain is dry, check the oil reservoir and oil passage. If the chain or guide bar becomes hot, check the oil level and the oil passage. If the tool stops during sawing, check for overload or battery temperature issues.
