This document provides essential operating instructions for the Bosch GWG 10.8V-50 S Professional cordless grinder. The tool is intended for grinding, deburring, and cleaning metal. Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection and a dust mask, when operating the tool. Ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or changing accessories.
Product Description
The grinder features a spindle lock, speed preselection buttons, and an LED indicator for battery status and tool warnings. The tool is designed for use with backing pads and discs with a maximum diameter of 50 mm.

Fitting Abrasive Tools
To fit an abrasive tool:

- Clean the grinding spindle and all parts to be fitted.
- Push the spindle lock forward to release the collet.
- Loosen the clamping nut using an open-ended spanner by turning it anticlockwise.
- Insert the straight shank of the backing pad fully into the collet.
- Firmly clamp the backing pad by turning the clamping nut clockwise with the spanner.
- Fit the disc onto the backing pad.
- Push the spindle lock back to its original position.
Important: Do not tighten the collet with the clamping nut until a grinding tool has been fitted to avoid damaging the collet. The tool must be clamped at least 10 mm deep.
Operation
To switch the tool on, push the unlocking lever forward and then push the on/off switch up. To switch off, simply release the on/off switch. You can preselect the speed using the two buttons on the tool. The LED indicator shows the current speed setting and provides status warnings.

Battery Management
The 5 LEDs on the tool indicate the battery charge level for 5 seconds after start-up. If the tool is overloaded or the battery temperature is outside the permitted range, the speed is reduced or the tool switches off automatically. Protect the battery from moisture, water, and extreme temperatures.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation. Remove the battery before any maintenance or transport to prevent accidental activation.
