This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of the Bosch GSR 18V-65 and GSB 18V-65 cordless drill drivers. Always read the full safety instructions before use.

Device description

The tool is designed for driving and loosening screws and for drilling in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. The GSB model is also designed for impact drilling in brick, masonry, and stone.

Assembly

Tool change: The drill spindle is locked when the on/off switch is not pressed. Open the keyless chuck by turning it in the direction of rotation until the tool can be inserted. Tighten the chuck firmly by hand until a click is heard.

Operation

Starting operation: Press and hold the on/off switch to start. The worklight illuminates the work area when the switch is pressed. Release the switch to stop.

Setting rotational direction: Use the rotational direction switch to change the direction. Do not change while the on/off switch is pressed.

Operating modes: Use the torque presetting ring (GSR) or operating mode presetting ring (GSB) to select between drilling, screwdriving, and impact drilling (GSB only).

KickBack Control: This feature provides better control and user protection. If the tool suddenly rotates around the drill axis, it will switch off automatically. The worklight will flash and the KickBack Control button will light up red.

Maintenance and cleaning

Always remove the battery before performing any work on the tool. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.
