Table of contents
Product Overview
The Bresser Analyth STR Trino is a high-quality trinocular stereo microscope designed for precise optical observation. It features a rotatable objective holder with 1x, 2x, and 4x magnification, providing total magnifications of 10x, 20x, and 40x when used with the included 10x eyepieces.

Setup and Illumination
Place the microscope on a stable, level surface. The device offers three illumination modes: incident light, transmitted light, or both simultaneously. You can power the unit using the included power supply or via AA batteries inserted into the compartment on the underside. Brightness for both incident and transmitted light can be adjusted independently using the controls on the base.
Observation and Adjustments
To begin, place your object on the stage and secure it with the clips if necessary. Always start with the lowest magnification (1x). Adjust the interpupillary distance by moving the eyepieces until you achieve a comfortable view. Use the dioptre adjustment on the left eyepiece to compensate for differences in your eyesight, and the focus wheel to sharpen the image.
Trinocular Head
The trinocular head is designed for camera mounting. It features a 23.2 mm diameter adapter port. If your camera is not parfocal with the eyepieces, you may need to adjust the focus knobs, though this may blur the image in the eyepieces. For very flat objects, placing them on a small pedestal can help achieve focus.
Maintenance
Keep the microscope clean and free of dust and moisture. Use a soft brush to remove dust and a lint-free cloth with a small amount of alcohol to clean optical surfaces. Always cover the microscope with the provided dust cover when not in use to maintain its optical quality and value.

Practical help
Common problems
Adjust the friction of the focusing drive by turning the two focusing wheels in opposite directions.
Ensure the object is placed correctly on the stage. For very flat objects, try placing them on a small pedestal.
Use the focusing knobs to correct the camera focus, noting that this may blur the view through the eyepieces.
Before use
- Ensure the microscope is placed on a stable, level surface.
- Check that the power supply is connected or fresh AA batteries are installed with correct polarity.
- Verify that the eyepieces are securely in place.
- Set the dioptre scale to the middle position before starting adjustments.
