DAB Antenna Installation
The active DAB+ antenna is powered through the core of the antenna wire (+5V), requiring no separate power source. Follow these steps:
- Remove the cover of the A-post in your vehicle.
- Stick the transparent part of the antenna onto the windshield near the A-post.
- Attach the black part of the antenna to the metal frame of the car.
- Connect the male SMA connector to the radio unit.
Wiring Diagram
The unit uses standard ISO connectors. Ensure all connections are secure:
- Connector A: Includes Memory +12V (yellow), Remote +12V output (blue), +12V ignition (red), and Ground (black).
- Connector B: Dedicated to speaker outputs (Front Left/Right, Rear Left/Right).
- RCA Outputs: Provides Front Left/Right and Rear Left/Right RCA outputs.
- Fuse: The unit is protected by a 10A fuse.
Bluetooth Operation
To pair your mobile device:
- Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode.
- Activate Bluetooth on your phone and search for available devices.
- Select RMD052DAB-BT_CALIBER from the list.
- Enter the password 0000 if prompted.
- Upon successful connection, the display will show BT ON. If it fails, it will show NO CON.
General Operation and Settings
The unit features a multi-functional rotary knob for volume and menu navigation. Use the MODE button to switch between sources (Tuner, USB, SD, Bluetooth, AUX). The Audio Menu allows for adjustments to Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Loudness, EQ, DX/LOCAL, and Stereo/Mono settings. To reset the unit to factory defaults, use a non-metallic pointed object to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
Safety and Maintenance
- Use only in vehicles with a 12V negative ground system.
- Do not disassemble or modify the unit.

Bluetooth connection fails (NO CON)
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the device is in range. Try re-pairing by selecting the unit again in your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Unit settings are lost
Check the wiring of the yellow memory wire (+12V) to ensure it maintains constant power even when the ignition is off.
DAB+ reception is poor
Verify that the antenna is correctly mounted on the windshield and the black part is making good contact with the metal car frame.
