Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential instructions for the safe and correct use of the Campingaz Bivouac cartridge cooker. It is intended for use exclusively with Campingaz CV270 PLUS, CV300 PLUS, and CV470 PLUS valve cartridges. Always operate the device in well-ventilated areas, away from flammable materials, and never inside small, enclosed spaces like tents, vehicles, or caravans.

Assembly

Before use, the legs must be attached:

  • Hold the cooker in one hand.
  • Insert each of the four legs (1) into the supports (2) until they lock into place.
  • Ensure the button (3) on each leg faces outwards.

Gas Cartridge Installation

Always install or remove cartridges in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors, away from flames, heat sources, or sparks.

  1. Ensure the gas control valve (4) is fully closed by turning it clockwise to the "-" position.
  2. Hold the burner and gently screw the cartridge (5) clockwise until you hear a click (approximately 1/6 of a turn). Do not overtighten, as this may damage the valve.

Operation

  • Lighting: Turn the gas control knob (4) counter-clockwise to open the gas, then immediately press the knob (4) repeatedly until the burner ignites.
  • Cooking: Place your cookware centered on the supports. Adjust the gas flow using the knob (4) so that flames do not extend beyond the base of the cookware.
  • Extinguishing: Turn the control knob (4) fully clockwise to the "-" position to shut off the gas.

Maintenance and Storage

  • Removing the cartridge: Wait for the device to cool completely. Ensure the gas valve is fully closed, then unscrew the cartridge counter-clockwise.
  • Removing the legs: Once cooled, hold the cooker, press the button (3) on the leg, and pull the leg outwards. Repeat for all legs.
  • Storage: Store the device and cartridge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, out of reach of children. Never store in a basement or cellar.
  • Troubleshooting: If the injector is clogged, do not attempt to clean it yourself; return the device to your retailer.
