Setup and Assembly
Before operating the generator, complete the following setup steps:
- Unboxing: Open the shipping carton carefully.
- Wheel Kit: Attach the wheel kit to the generator frame as indicated in the assembly diagrams.
- Add Engine Oil: Use 10W-30 oil. The capacity is up to 37.2 fl. oz. (1.1 L). Do not overfill.
- Placement: Move the generator to an open, outdoor area. Ensure it is at least 5 feet (1.5 m) away from all objects, as the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials. Never run the generator in enclosed areas like a house or garage.
Fueling and Preparation
This generator is a dual-fuel model, capable of running on gasoline or propane (LPG).
- Gasoline: Add gasoline to the tank. Do not use E15 or E85 fuel.
- Propane: Connect a propane cylinder to the generator.
- Fuel Selection: Use the fuel select dial to choose your fuel source. Turn the dial to the "Gasoline Run" position for gasoline or the "Propane Run" position for propane.
Starting the Engine
Important: Never start or stop the generator with electrical devices connected or turned on.
Gasoline Start
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position.
- Pull the starter cord.
- Move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
Propane Start
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position.
- Pull the starter cord 3-5 times until you feel combustion pulses.
- Move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
- Pull the starter cord to start the engine.
