This manual covers the Chapin 12-Volt Deluxe Sprayer (EZ MOUNTâ„¢), including 15-gallon and 25-gallon models (97300E, 97500E). It provides essential instructions for assembly, safe operation, and maintenance. Always read the full manual before use and follow all safety precautions.

Safety Warnings
- Explosion Hazard: Do not leave the sprayer in direct sunlight. Heat can cause pressure build-up.
- Chemical Safety: Never spray flammable, caustic, acidic, chlorine, bleach, petroleum-based, or corrosive solutions. Always follow the chemical manufacturer's instructions.
- Protective Gear: Always wear goggles, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and full-foot protection when spraying.
- Wiring: Ensure the wiring harness is not pinched or damaged to prevent overheating or fire.
- Maintenance: Flush the pump with water after every use. Do not allow chemicals to sit in the pump for extended periods.
Assembly
Pressure Gauge & Ball Valve: Install the pressure gauge (C-1) and ball valve (C-2) to the output manifold. Do not over-tighten the pressure gauge. Connect the red wire of the lead wire assembly to a +12V source on your tractor and the black wire to a ground or negative battery post.

Wand Tubing: Attach the wand tubing (C-7) to the manifold using the supplied hose clamp (C-3).
Drain Cap: Install the cap lanyard around the drain plug and screw the drain cap (C-5) onto the plug.
Operation
The pumping system draws solution from the tank through a strainer. The pump features a pressure switch that automatically shuts off the pump when it reaches 60 PSI. Use the bypass valve lever to adjust system pressure by relieving liquid back into the tank.

Maintenance
After Spraying: Fill the sprayer partially with water, start the pump, and flush the plumbing system through the spray wand. Refill the tank halfway with water and a chemical neutralizer, then flush again. Follow chemical manufacturer disposal instructions for all waste water.
Winter Storage: Drain all water and chemicals from the sprayer. Pump a solution of RV antifreeze through the entire plumbing system to prevent damage from freezing.
Troubleshooting
If the pump fails to start, check the 12-13V power supply, electrical connections, and the in-line fuse. If the pump runs but will not prime, check for debris in the suction strainer or kinks in the inlet/outlet tubes. If the pump continues to run when not spraying, check for system leaks or adjust the bypass valve.
Specifications
The diaphragm pump is a 2-chamber positive displacement unit capable of running dry. It features a 60 PSI maximum pressure, 2.5 GPM flow rate, and 12V DC power requirement. The spray wand has a maximum range of 35 feet.

Practical help
Common problems
Check for correct voltage (12-13V), inspect electrical connections, check the fuse/breaker, and ensure the pressure switch is operating.
Check for debris in the strainer, kinks in the inlet/outlet tubes, or debris in the inlet/outlet valves.
Check for leaks in the system, air trapped in the outlet line, or adjust the bypass valve.
Check for excessive voltage, improper pressure switch adjustment, or damaged wiring harness.
Before use
- Wear protective gear (goggles, gloves, long sleeves).
- Ensure the wiring harness is not pinched or damaged.
- Check the suction supply screen inside the tank for debris.
- Verify the 12V power source connection.
- Ensure the sprayer is attached to a stable surface.
Specs in practice
- Max Pressure
- 60 PSI; the pump will automatically shut off at this pressure.
- Priming Capability
- 4 feet (1.2 m); the maximum vertical distance the pump can draw liquid.
Images and diagrams

- Valve Operation: Illustrates the bypass valve lever used to regulate system pressure.
Model compatibility
- Fits Chapin 15 and 25 gallon ATV sprayers.
- Not for use with flammable, caustic, acidic, chlorine, bleach, or petroleum-based solutions.
