Product description

The CLAS OE 0035BL is a LED-based load tester designed for 12V batteries and alternators. It allows users to diagnose the status of the battery, the charging output of the alternator, and the output of a battery charger.

Testing the battery

1. Turn off the AC power to the battery charger.
2. Turn off the engine or any other charging sources (e.g., solar panels).
3. Connect the negative lead of the tester to the negative post of the battery.
4. Touch the positive probe to the positive post of the battery to read the battery status.

Testing the alternator

1. With the engine running, check the battery voltage using the same connection method as for the battery test.

Testing the battery charger

1. Turn off the AC power.
2. Disconnect the negative lead of the battery charger from the battery (the positive lead may remain connected).
3. Connect the negative lead of the tester to the negative post of the battery.
4. Turn on the AC power.
5. Touch the positive probe to the positive lead from the battery charger to read the voltage output of the charger.
6. Repeat the process for each battery.
