The CLAS OE 0035BL is a diagnostic tool designed to check the status of 12V batteries, alternators, and battery chargers. This guide provides the necessary steps to perform these tests safely. Test Battery
- Turn off the AC power to the battery charger.
- Turn off the engine or any other charging sources (e.g., solar panels).
- Connect the negative lead of the tester to the negative post of the battery.
- Touch the positive probe to the positive post of the battery to read the status via the LED indicators.
Test the Alternator
- With the engine running, perform the battery voltage test as described in the Test Battery section.
Test the Battery Charger
- Turn off the AC power.
- Disconnect the negative lead of the battery charger from the battery (the positive lead may remain connected).
- Connect the negative lead of the tester to the negative post of the battery.
- Turn on the AC power.
- Touch the positive probe to the positive lead from the battery charger to read the voltage output.
- Repeat the process for each battery.
