Important Information

The remote mounting of the LCP for FCP 106 and FCM 106 is intended for set-up and maintenance purposes only. It is not suitable for permanent installation. The LCP cable has an ingress protection class of IP54 and is not UL listed or recognized.

Safety Instructions

The frequency converter contains DC-link capacitors that remain charged even when the power is off. Failure to wait for the specified discharge time can result in death or serious injury.

  • Stop the motor.
  • Disconnect AC mains and remote DC-link power supplies (including battery back-ups, UPS, and other connections).
  • Disconnect or lock the PM motor.
  • Wait for capacitors to discharge fully (4 minutes for 3x400V units).
  • Use a voltage measuring device to verify capacitors are fully discharged before starting work.

Mechanical Installation

Follow these steps to mount the LCP:

  1. Fit the gasket onto the LCP.
  2. Cut out the panel according to the dimensions: 64.5 mm x 129.5 mm.
  3. Position the LCP with the gasket onto the panel.
  4. Position the bracket on the back of the LCP and slide it down.
  5. Fasten the bracket to the LCP using the supplied screws. The tightening torque is 1.3 Nm.

  1. Connect the LCP cable at the panel.
  2. Connect the LCP cable at the frequency converter.

Common problems

Permanent installation

Remote mounting is intended for set-up and maintenance purposes only and is not suited for permanent installation.

High voltage hazard

Capacitors remain charged after power is removed. Wait 4 minutes for 3x400V units and verify with a voltage measuring device.

Before use

  • Ensure LCP cable (IP54) is available.
  • Verify Local Control Panel (LCP) ordering number 130B1107 is available.
  • Stop the motor and disconnect all power supplies.
  • Wait for capacitors to discharge (4 minutes for 3x400V).
  • Use a voltage measuring device to confirm discharge.
