This document provides essential operating instructions for the Dimplex 10/14 E and EL dehumidifier models. Before first use, ensure the unit has settled in an upright position for 12 hours. The device is intended for indoor residential use only and must not be used in bathrooms or near water sources. Always maintain a 50cm clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
Safety and Refrigerant R290
This appliance contains R290 refrigerant gas. It must be installed and stored in a room with a minimum floor area of 4m2 for 10L models and 7m2 for 14L models. Do not pierce or burn the cooling circuit. Ensure the unit is placed on a firm, flat surface and kept away from heat sources or open flames.
First time operation

- Ensure the unit has settled for 12 hours after transport.
- Remove the carbon filter from its packaging and install it between the anti-dust filter and the air inlet.
- Plug the unit into a properly installed, accessible mains socket.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start.
- Use the humidity setting button to select your desired target humidity (40%, 50%, 60%, 70%) or continuous mode (CONT).
- Use the TIMER button to set operating duration (up to 15 hours).
Drainage
When the water tank is full, the compressor stops automatically. To empty, pull the tank out squarely. For continuous drainage, connect an 11mm inner diameter tube to the drain spout inside the tank compartment. Ensure the tube is positioned at a lower height than the outlet to allow gravity drainage.

Maintenance
Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Wipe the body with a soft, damp cloth. The plastic anti-dust filter should be washed every 2 weeks. The active carbon filter is not washable; remove it and place it in sunlight for a few hours every 3-6 months to recharge its properties.

Troubleshooting
If the unit does not operate, check the power connection, room temperature (must be between 5°C and 32°C), and ensure the water tank is correctly seated. If the power light flashes, the unit may be in defrost mode. Error codes 1H, 2H, 4H, or 8H indicate a malfunction; please contact customer service.
