Quick guide from the manual

The Aircast AirSelect Standard is designed for moderate support, specifically for stable fractures of the lower leg, foot, and ankle, severe ankle sprains, and post-operative use. It features two customizable distal aircells for compression.

Application

  1. Unfasten all straps and remove the front panel.
  2. Open the liner.
  3. While seated, place your foot into the brace, ensuring the heel is positioned against the back of the brace.
  4. Wrap the liner securely around your foot and leg.
  5. Replace the front panel, ensuring the Aircast logo is positioned over the toes.
  6. Secure the straps starting from the bottom and moving to the top, tightening until snug and comfortable.

Adjusting Aircell Compression

The aircells are initially deflated. To adjust compression:

  • Turn the SELECTOR dial on the right side of the brace to the desired aircell number (1 for the right-side aircell, 2 for the left-side aircell).
  • Press and release the LARGE inflation pump located on the top right side of the brace until the aircell feels snug.
  • Repeat the process for the other aircell if necessary.

Deflating Aircells

To deflate the aircells:

  • Turn the SELECTOR dial to the appropriate aircell number.
  • Press and hold the SMALL release button located on the top right side of the brace.
  • Continue until the pressure is comfortable.

Note: Always deflate aircells before removing the brace to ensure a proper fit when reapplying. Higher pressure provides more support while walking, while lower pressure is more comfortable when sitting or reclining.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The foam liner may be hand-washed in 86°F/30°C water using a mild detergent. Air-dry the liner completely. Do not use a dryer or any other heat source for drying.
