This document provides essential safety and maintenance instructions for the GE Ultra Bright LED 100L C9 decorative lighting string. Always inspect the product before use and ensure it is not overloaded when connecting multiple strings. The product is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Safety Instructions
- Electrical Safety: This is an electric product, not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
- Installation: Do not mount near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, or other heat sources. Do not secure wiring with staples or nails, and do not hang objects from the cord or wire.
- Usage: Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords. Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material while in use.
- Outdoor Use: If used outdoors, connect to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet.
- Overload Protection: The product employs a fuse for overload protection. If the fuse blows, unplug the product and any connected strings immediately.
Use and Care
- Inspection: Before use or reuse, inspect the product for cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation, cracks in lamp holders, loose connections, or exposed copper wire. Discard if damaged.
- Storage: When not in use, store in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight.
- Live Trees: If used on a live tree, ensure the tree is fresh, well-maintained, and stable. Keep the tree holder filled with water.
User Servicing


Fuse Replacement
- Unplug the product from the receptacle.
- Slide the fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the blades to open.
- Remove the fuse carefully.
- Replace the fuse only with a 3 Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with the product).
- Close the fuse access cover.
Lamp Replacement
- Unplug the product from the receptacle.
- Turn the LED cover counterclockwise to remove it from the lampholder.
- Pull the lamp and plastic base straight out.
- Replace with a 3.3 Volt, 0.066 Watt LED lamp (provided with the product).
- Turn the cover clockwise to secure it back onto the lampholder.
Electrical Specifications
The lighting string is rated at 8.0 Watts (0.067 Amps). You may connect other lighting strings end-to-end up to a maximum of 216 Watts (1.8 Amps) total. If connecting to a string without a wattage rating, calculate it by multiplying the current (Amps) on the cord tag by 120.
Practical help
Common problems
Unplug the product and any connected strings. Check for overload or short-circuit. Replace the fuse with a 3 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
Replace the burned-out lamp with a 3.3 Volt, 0.066 Watt LED lamp provided with the product.
Before use
- Inspect for cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation.
- Check for cracks in lamp holders or enclosures.
- Ensure there are no loose connections or exposed copper wire.
- If using on a live tree, ensure the tree is fresh and well-maintained.
- Ensure the tree is well-secured and stable.
