The Anko 10M Solar Christmas Rope Light is designed for outdoor use. It charges via a solar panel during the day and automatically illuminates at night. Ensure the solar panel is placed in a location with direct sunlight and away from other light sources like streetlights, which may interfere with the sensor.
Assembly and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your light:

- Preparation: Remove all packaging before use.
- Site Selection: Choose a location with soft ground where the spike can be easily inserted. Ensure the area is free of underground pipes or mains cables.
- Assembly: Attach the solar panel assembly to the anchor spike as shown in the assembly diagram.
- Installation: Insert the spike firmly into the ground.
- Positioning: Ensure the solar panel is positioned where it can receive direct sunlight. Avoid shadows from buildings, trees, or walls.
- Cable Management: Anchor the cables securely to prevent tripping hazards.
Operation
The light set is pre-assembled with a solar cell, rechargeable battery, and LED lights. No external power or connections are required.
- Switching On: Locate the ON/OFF switch at the bottom of the unit and turn it to the ON position.
- Charging: The unit charges during the day. The duration of light at night depends on the amount of sunlight received during the day.
Safety and Maintenance
- Outdoor Use Only: The light is designed for outdoor use. It can withstand rain but should not be immersed in water or exposed to water jets.
- Extreme Weather: Store the solar panel indoors during extreme weather conditions, such as prolonged snow or frost.
- Safety Warnings: Keep away from fire and heat sources like barbecues or heaters. The anchor spike is sharp; do not allow children to play with it.
- Non-Replaceable Components: The battery and bulbs are non-replaceable. Do not attempt to open or replace them.
- Condensation: Some condensation inside the unit or solar panel in cold conditions is normal and can be ignored.
