Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the Einhell TE-CI 18/1 Li Cordless Hammer Screwdriver. Always read the full safety instructions provided in the separate booklet before use.

Device Description

The device features a bit mount, battery capacity indicator, rotation direction switch, on/off switch, LED light, and a removable holding clip. Note that the battery and charger are not included in the delivery.

Operation

To operate the tool, insert a charged battery pack. Use the slide switch above the on/off switch to select the rotation direction (clockwise/counter-clockwise) or to lock the trigger. The on/off switch allows for infinitely variable speed control; the further you press it, the higher the speed. The LED light illuminates the work area automatically when the trigger is pressed.

Battery Charging

To charge the battery, remove it from the tool by pressing the pushlock button. Connect the charger to the mains and slide the battery onto the charger. The LED indicators on the charger provide status updates:

  • Green flashing: Ready for use.
  • Green on: Battery is charged and ready.
  • Red on: Charging in progress.
  • Red/Green flashing: Fault (battery defective).
  • Red/Green on: Temperature fault (battery too hot or too cold).

Maintenance and Cleaning

Keep all safety devices, air vents, and the motor housing free of dust and dirt. Wipe the tool with a clean cloth or use low-pressure compressed air. Clean regularly with a moist cloth and mild soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents, as they may damage plastic parts. Ensure no water enters the device.

Safety

Always wear safety goggles, a breathing mask, and ear protection when working. Do not work on materials containing asbestos. Store the tool and accessories in a dark, dry, and frost-free place, ideally between 5°C and 30°C.
