Before using your Eureka EKD 1.7L electric kettle, ensure you read the safety instructions carefully. The kettle is intended for household use only. Always ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks to prevent boiling over or damage to the heating element. Before the first use, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it twice without any additives to clean the interior.
Safety Instructions
- Keep the kettle and cord out of reach of children.
- Do not operate the kettle outdoors.
- The base and exterior of the kettle are not water-resistant; keep them dry.
- Do not touch the content of the kettle while it is hot.
- Ensure the lid is tightly closed during operation.
- If the kettle is damaged, stop using it immediately and unplug it.
- Do not attempt to repair the kettle yourself; contact authorized personnel.
Operation
Follow these steps to operate your kettle:
- Filling: Fill the kettle with water, ensuring it is between the MIN and MAX indicators. Do not overfill.
- Placement: Place the kettle on the provided base.
- Connection: Ensure the electrical voltage matches the kettle's rating and connect to a properly installed socket.
- Switching On: Switch the kettle to position '1'. The control lamp on the water indicator will light up.
- Switching Off: The kettle will switch off automatically after boiling. You can also switch it off manually.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always remove the plug from the main supply before cleaning. The exterior of the kettle should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without additives. The calcium filter can be removed for cleaning if necessary.
