The Eve Outdoor Cam is a smart security camera designed for outdoor use, featuring an integrated floodlight and advanced motion detection. It is built to provide high-quality video monitoring while ensuring user privacy through end-to-end encryption. The device is designed to replace existing outdoor lighting fixtures, making it a seamless addition to your home security system.

Installation and Safety
Before beginning the installation, ensure that you have a neutral wire and a ground wire available at the installation site, as these are required for the camera to function. If you are unsure about electrical wiring, please consult a qualified electrician. The ideal installation height is 2.5 meters with a 30-degree tilt angle. Always turn off the power at your fuse box before starting the installation process to prevent the risk of electric shock.

Wi-Fi Connectivity
The Eve Outdoor Cam connects exclusively to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Before mounting, verify that your chosen location has sufficient Wi-Fi signal strength. You can test this by holding your iPhone near the wall where the camera will be installed; you should have at least two bars of reception. If the signal is weak, consider using a Wi-Fi repeater or mesh node to improve coverage.
Setup and Integration
Once installed and powered on, the status LED will indicate the device is ready for setup. Download the Eve app from the App Store and follow the in-app instructions to add the camera to your home. You will need the HomeKit setup code provided with your device to complete the pairing process. The camera supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video, allowing you to store recordings securely in iCloud.
Features and Maintenance
The camera includes a dedicated motion sensor that can be adjusted for sensitivity to avoid false alerts from wind or small animals. The integrated floodlight can be set to turn on automatically upon motion detection, and a 'Light Boost' feature is available for extra brightness when needed. You can manage all settings, including motion sensitivity and light duration, directly through the Eve app or the Apple Home app.
Privacy and Security
Eve is committed to 100% privacy. The camera does not use a proprietary cloud service, requires no registration, and does not track your activity. All video streams and recordings are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that only you and authorized users can access your footage.
