Quick guide from the manual

The FBT MYRA 214L is a professional 3-way full-range line array module. For safe and optimal performance, it is mandatory to use processed amplifiers with FBT-validated DSP presets. The system features a 4-point integrated rigging mechanism for flying or ground-stacking. Always consult the dedicated MYRA SYSTEM RIGGING MANUAL for detailed installation and safety procedures.

System Description

The MYRA 214L is designed for mid-to-large touring applications and high-end fixed installations. It utilizes two neodymium coaxial compression drivers (4-inch mid-frequency and 2.5-inch high-frequency voice coils) and two 14-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers. The cabinet is constructed from Baltic birch with a weather-resistant polyurea coating.

Integrated Mechanics and Rigging

The system includes a 4-point rigging mechanism with two adjustable arms and two housings with ball lock pins on each side. Key components include:

  • Rear concealed brackets: For securing to an upper unit or flybar.
  • Front concealed brackets: For securing to an upper unit or flybar.
  • Quick-release pins: For fast assembly.
  • Graduated flange: Allows setting inter-enclosure angles between 0.25° and 8°.

Use the MYRA Rigging Safety Calculator software to determine the safety factor for your specific configuration.

Inputs and Outputs

The rear panel features two Neutrik Speakon NLT4MP connectors wired in parallel. This allows for linking two cabinets. When linking, ensure your amplifier can handle the resulting 2-ohm load. Recommended cable sections are 4-wire x 2.5mm² for lengths up to 15m, and 4-wire x 4mm² for lengths over 15m.

DSP and Acoustic Simulation

The MYRA 214L requires processed amplification. Using the system without FBT-validated presets is prohibited and may damage components. For acoustic optimization, FBT recommends using the EASE FOCUS 3 software with the .GLL library files available on the FBT website.

System Components

The system supports various accessories for deployment:

Common problems

System performance issues or component damage

Always use FBT-validated DSP presets. Using unauthorized presets is strictly prohibited.

Improper rigging or safety concerns

Use the 'MYRA Rigging Safety Calculator' software and consult the 'MYRA SYSTEM RIGGING MANUAL' for detailed installation procedures.

Impedance mismatch when linking speakers

Ensure the amplifier can handle the resulting 2-ohm load when linking two cabinets.

Before use

  • Verify all rigging hardware is tested and approved by FBT.
  • Ensure the mounting surface is solid and stable.
  • Check all load-bearing bolts and points for wear.
  • Use 4-wire cables (2.5mm² for 15m).
  • Verify amplifier compatibility with FBT-validated DSP presets.
