The Outline Monaco 215CX SP is a self-powered, two-section portable loudspeaker. It is designed for plug-and-play operation: simply connect the power supply and an analog input signal to begin. The system features an integrated DSP with four selectable presets to adapt to different acoustic environments.
System description
The loudspeaker is constructed from Baltic birch plywood and features a coaxial driver design. It includes a 15-inch woofer for deep-low frequencies and a 15-inch woofer for mid-low frequencies, along with a 3-inch diaphragm compression driver for high frequencies. The cabinet is designed for high rigidity and includes external handles for easy transport.
Cabling and connections
The rear panel provides the following connectivity options:

- Analog Input: Balanced XLR or 1/4-inch TRS connector.
- Link Out: XLR connector for daisy-chaining signals.
- Power: Powercon True1 (IP65) input and output link.
- Control: USB Type B port for connecting to a PC to manage DSP settings via ArmoníaPlus software.
XLR Pinout: Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: IN(+), Pin 3: IN(-).
TRS Pinout: Tip: IN(+), Ring: IN(-), Shield: Ground.
Amplification and DSP presets
The integrated amplifier module offers 2 x 1500 W EIAJ power at 8 Ohm. You can manage the sound output using the rear panel controls:
- Preset Selection: Choose between four presets: FLAT (linear response), BASS BOOST (low-frequency emphasis), LOUDNESS (low volume listening), and PRESENCE (speech applications).
- Gain Control: Adjustable via a potentiometer from -∞ to +6 dB.
- Status LEDs: Monitor system health. Green indicates ready to play; Cyan indicates standby mode enabled; Blue indicates standby mode active.
- Standby Mode: By default, the system enters a low-power mode after 15 minutes of no input signal (below -45 dBu). You can toggle this by pressing the preset select button for at least 3 seconds.
Rigging
The Monaco 215CX SP is designed for professional installation. It requires external rigging structures to support the weight of the loudspeaker. Always ensure that rigging hardware is designed according to local laws and safety factors. The system supports the Outline Smart Fix Rail System for safe mounting and dismounting.

Maintenance
Periodic inspections are required to ensure safety. Before every use, inspect key components including screws, connecting pins, welded points, and rigging bars. A formal inspection should be documented at least once a year.
Practical help
Common problems
The input signal level is below -45 dBu. Increase the input signal level or toggle standby mode by pressing the preset select button for 3 seconds.
System temperature is high. The DSP will automatically lower the clipping voltage to reduce output power and limit temperature increase.
Output signal clipping. Reduce the input gain using the rear potentiometer.
Before use
- Inspect all rigging components (screws, pins, bars) for wear or damage.
- Ensure all personnel involved in installation are equipped with personal safety devices.
- Verify that the input signal is balanced.
- Check that the mains power is connected correctly.
- Ensure no one is standing under the system during installation.
