First Use and Setup

Before the first use, fill the water tank to the MAX mark. Attach the portafilter by aligning it with the UNLOCKED symbol and rotating to the LOCKED position. Turn the machine on; once the coffee indicators stop blinking, the machine is ready. Run a cleaning cycle by pressing the single coffee button.

Operating Instructions

To make coffee, place the desired filter in the portafilter, add ground coffee, and tamp it down. Lock the portafilter into the machine, place a cup under the spout, and press the desired coffee button. The machine features an auto-shutoff function after 25 minutes of inactivity.

Steam and Milk Frothing

Press the steam button and wait for it to stop blinking. Fill a container 1/3 full with milk. Insert the steam wand 1 cm into the milk and slowly turn the steam adjustment knob to the steam/hot water position. After use, clean the steam wand immediately. If the machine overheats after using the steam function, the coffee indicators will blink rapidly; follow the cooling procedure by dispensing water through the steam wand until the indicators stabilize.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regularly clean the water tank, drip tray, and filters with warm soapy water. The portafilter is not dishwasher safe. Perform a descaling cycle approximately every 300 coffees or when the control panel buttons blink 3 times upon startup. Use 10g of lemon juice or citric acid in the water tank and run the cleaning process as described in the manual.

Troubleshooting

If the machine fails to produce coffee, check the water tank level and ensure the machine has pre-heated. If steam is not produced, ensure the steam wand is not blocked and the selector is in the correct position. If coffee is too weak, adjust the grind size or tamping pressure.
