This manual provides essential installation and setup instructions for the Focal On Wall 300 series, including models 301 and 302. Due to the size and weight of the speakers, it is mandatory to have two people present for handling and installation to prevent injury or damage.
Safety and Handling
Always handle the speakers with care. When mounting or moving the units, ensure two people are involved. Avoid touching the speaker drivers directly to prevent damage.

Installation
The speakers can be mounted in either a horizontal or vertical position. Use the provided mounting templates to mark the wall fixing holes accurately.
Horizontal Mounting

- Use the horizontal mounting template to mark the drilling positions on the wall.
- Install the mounting brackets onto the wall.
- Attach the speaker to the brackets.
Vertical Mounting
- Use the vertical mounting template to mark the drilling positions on the wall.
- Install the mounting brackets onto the wall.
- Attach the speaker to the brackets.
Ensure there is a 5mm gap as indicated in the installation diagrams for proper fitment.

Connections
Connect the speaker cables to the terminals on the back of the unit. Ensure the polarity is correct (positive to positive, negative to negative) to maintain sound quality.

Specifications
The Focal On Wall 300 series includes two models with the following key differences:
- On Wall 301: 2-way loudspeaker, 87dB sensitivity, 53Hz - 28kHz frequency response.
- On Wall 302: 2.5-way loudspeaker, 91dB sensitivity, 50Hz - 28kHz frequency response.
Both models feature a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms.

Common problems
Verify the alignment of the mounting template before drilling and ensure the wall brackets are perfectly horizontal or vertical.
Check that the speaker cables are securely connected to the terminals and that the polarity (+/-) is correct.
Before use
- Ensure two people are available for handling the speaker
- Verify the wall structure is capable of supporting the speaker weight
- Check that you have the correct mounting template for your orientation (horizontal/vertical)
- Ensure speaker cables are prepared for connection
- Verify the 5mm mounting gap requirement
Specs in practice
- Sensitivity (2.83V/1m)
- Indicates the sound pressure level produced by the speaker at a distance of 1 meter with 2.83V input; higher values mean the speaker is more efficient.
- Frequency response
- The range of frequencies the speaker can reproduce; lower numbers indicate deeper bass capability.
- Nominal impedance
- The electrical resistance of the speaker; 8 Ohms is standard for most home audio amplifiers.
