The Focal Slatefiber PC 165 SF and PS 165 SF are 2-way car speaker kits designed for high performance and reliability. This manual provides essential installation and safety information. Before installation, ensure you have checked the available space in your vehicle and cleared the speaker drivers of any metal shavings or dust.

Safety Instructions
- Hearing Protection: Do not listen to loudspeakers at high volumes (over 85 dB) for long periods to avoid permanent hearing damage.
- Secure Installation: If a subwoofer is installed, it must be firmly secured to the floor or chassis to prevent it from becoming a projectile during an accident.
- Cables and Fuses: Use provided cables and harnesses without modification. If a fuse is included, replace it only with one of the same rating.
Installation

PC 165 SF (Coaxial) Installation
The PC 165 SF is a 2-way coaxial kit. Installation involves mounting the speaker driver into the vehicle's factory location. Ensure there is sufficient space between the speaker driver and the protective grille before finalizing the mounting.
PS 165 SF (Component) Installation
The PS 165 SF is a 2-way component kit. The tweeter installation requires specific steps: assemble the tweeter housing, mount it in the desired location, and ensure correct polarity (+/-) when connecting the wires.
Wiring and Tweeter Adjustment
The system includes crossovers for the PS 165 SF component kit. Connect the Woofer (W) and Tweeter (T) to the respective inputs on the crossover, and then connect the crossover to the amplifier. The tweeter level can be adjusted using the switch on the crossover to 0dB, -3dB, or -6dB to suit your listening preference.

Technical Specifications
Both models feature a 165mm woofer, 70mm depth, and Slatefiber cone. They handle a maximum power of 160W and have a nominal power of 80W RMS. The sensitivity is 91dB, and the frequency response is 60Hz - 21kHz.
Warranty and Disposal
Focal loudspeakers are covered by the official distributor's warranty in your country. For disposal, do not throw the product away with household waste; use the appropriate return and collection systems available in your area to ensure responsible recycling.
