Preparation and Application
- Degreasing: Thoroughly degrease the chain to remove any existing lubricants. Repeat the process if necessary to ensure the metal is completely clean.
- Drying: Allow the chain to dry completely before immersion.
- Heating: Heat the wax to 90 °C. Do not exceed 100 °C.
- Immersion: Submerge the chain in the wax bath for approximately 2 minutes.
- Temperature Adjustment: After the initial immersion, reduce the wax temperature to 60 °C until a slight film becomes visible on the surface.
- Removal: Remove the chain from the bath and allow it to drain over the wax container.
- Cooling and Finishing: Let the chain cool for at least 2 hours. Once cooled, flex each chain link to break the hardened wax and ensure smooth movement.

Always observe the safety warnings provided by the manufacturer of your degreasing agents. Ensure the wax is not overheated beyond 100 °C to prevent degradation or safety hazards.
