This document provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Franke 1291A Recirculating Hood. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any cleaning or maintenance tasks.
Safety Instructions
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate air supply in the room if the hood is used simultaneously with appliances burning gas, wood, or oil.
- Mounting Distance: The minimum distance between the cooker and the hood must be 42 cm for electric hobs and 65 cm for gas hobs.
- Fire Safety: Do not flambé food underneath the hood. Clean the hood regularly to prevent grease buildup, which increases fire risk.
- Installation: Installation and electrical connections must be performed by a qualified professional.
Instructions for Use
The hood features an AC motor, LED lighting (6.5 W), and an Easy Clean system.

- Fan Speeds: Use the control dial (A) to adjust fan speed. It is recommended to turn on the fan before cooking and leave it running on a low speed for a few minutes after cooking.
- Lighting: Use the control dial (B) to operate the LED lighting.
Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.




- Grease Filter: Clean at least every other month with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, or in a dishwasher. Handle carefully to avoid bending.
- Cleaning Housing and Impeller: The interior and removable parts should be cleaned at least twice a year. The fan housing and impeller can be washed in a dishwasher.
- Carbon Filter: Replace the carbon filter every one to two years, depending on cooking habits.
Troubleshooting
If the hood is not working, perform the following checks:

- Ensure the fuse is intact.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply, wait a moment, and switch it on again.
- Check that the connector is not bent or twisted at the connection point.

Installation
