The Garland Bulk Keeper 20V 108 is a battery-powered chainsaw designed for cutting branches and logs. This guide provides essential information for safe operation, assembly, and maintenance. Always read the full manual before first use.
Description of the machine
The chainsaw consists of a rear handle, battery housing, sword (bar), chain, oil deposit, and chain tensioner. It is designed to be operated with two hands.
Assembly and installation
Installing the bar and chain:

- Unscrew the bar lock nut to release the cover.
- Place one end of the chain on top of the bar.
- Ensure the chain is set in the correct direction of rotation as shown in the figure.
- Replace the bar cover, ensuring the tensioner screw matches the lower hole of the bar.
- Screw the bar lock nut back on and tighten the tensioner until the desired tension is achieved.
Battery charging
Charge the battery using only the supplied Garland charger. The battery requires 2.5 hours to fully charge from empty. Recharge the battery when you notice a decrease in power. Do not store the battery discharged.
Operation
Starting: Install the battery, push the chain brake to the operating position, press the on/off button, then press the safety button and the throttle trigger simultaneously.
Stopping: Release the throttle trigger, wait for the chain to stop, and press the on/off button. Remove the battery if storing for a long period.
Maintenance

- Chain Sharpening: Sharpen the chain when cutting becomes difficult, the path is not straight, or vibrations increase. Use a special file for chainsaws, maintaining a 30-degree angle.
- Bar Maintenance: Regularly invert the bar to ensure even wear. Clean the lubrication hole when unmounting the bar.
- Cleaning: Keep the machine clean, especially the motor ventilation areas.
Safety
Always wear safety gear (eye protection, gloves, non-slip boots). Be aware of kickback risks. Never cut with the tip of the bar. Do not operate in rain or wet conditions.
