Important Safety Information

This document contains critical safety and product information for your Garmin device. Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious injury or death.

Battery Warnings

This device uses a lithium-ion battery. To prevent damage to the device, fire, chemical burns, or electrolyte leaks, follow these guidelines:

• Do not expose the device or batteries to fire, explosion, or other hazards.
• Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture, or damage the device or batteries.
• Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-replaceable battery.

Device Warnings

• Do not leave the device exposed to a heat source or in a high-temperature location, such as an unattended vehicle in the sun.
• Do not use a power cable, data cable, or power adapter that is not supplied by Garmin or is not properly certified.

Health Warnings

• Consult your physician before using a heart rate monitor if you have a pacemaker or other internal electronic device.
• The optical wrist heart rate monitor and pulse oximeter emit lights and flash occasionally. Consult your physician if you have epilepsy or are sensitive to bright or flashing lights.
• Always consult your physician before beginning or modifying any exercise program.
• The device and related data are intended for recreational purposes only, not for medical use, and are not intended to diagnose, monitor, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Bicycle and Navigation Warnings

• Always use your best judgment and operate your bicycle in a safe manner. Ensure all hardware is properly maintained and installed.
• When using navigation features, always compare information displayed on the device to all available navigation sources, including weather conditions, maps, and street signs. Use the device only as a navigational aid.

Product Care

Skin Irritation

Some users may experience skin irritation after prolonged use of the watch, especially if the user has sensitive skin or allergies. If you notice any skin irritation, remove the watch and give your skin time to heal. Warranty Information

Non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Garmin will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, consumable parts (like batteries), damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or unauthorized service.
