Table of contents

Quick guide from the manual

The Granberg 106.3700K gloves are Category III Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) designed for TIG welding. Before use, always inspect the gloves for damage. If the gloves are wet, dirty, or soaked with sweat, do not use them to handle hot objects, as this reduces electrical resistance and increases the risk of electric shock.

Donning and Doffing

Donning: Select the correct size for your hand. Hold the glove by the cuff with one hand. Align the glove thumb with your other hand's thumb and slide your hand into the glove, ensuring one finger goes into each finger slot. Pull by the cuff to align the fingers into the correct position. Repeat for the other hand.

Doffing: If the gloves are not contaminated, pull by the fingertips to remove them. If the gloves are contaminated, hold the glove by the cuff and pull toward the fingers until the gloves come off.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Gloves are not washable. They can only be cleaned with a damp cloth, but this will not stop permeation processes. Both new and used gloves must be inspected before use. If in doubt, discard the gloves and select a new pair. Leaving gloves in a contaminated condition may cause a deterioration of quality.

Storage and Transport

The gloves are packed in plastic bags and then in cardboard boxes. Granberg recommends storing unused gloves in their original packaging and preventing exposure to direct sunlight.

Safety Warnings

  • Molten Metal: In the event of a molten metal splash, leave the working place immediately and remove the glove. The glove may not eliminate all burn risks.
  • Electric Shock: These gloves do not provide protection against electric shock caused by defective equipment or live working.
  • Sharp Objects: Gloves meeting puncture resistance requirements may not be suitable for protection against sharp objects like hypodermic needles.
  • Latex: Gloves containing latex may cause allergic reactions in cases of hypersensitivity.
  • Open Flame: Do not expose to open flame.
