The GYS WCU series are water cooling units designed to cool water-cooled torches connected to compatible TIG welding machines. The unit is automatically detected by the welding machine. Ensure the cooling unit is turned off before connecting or disconnecting hoses. The tank must be filled to the MAX level indicated on the front gauge.
Safety Instructions
General: Read all instructions before use. Only qualified personnel should perform installation or maintenance.
Environment: Use only in well-ventilated areas, protected from dust, acid, and corrosive agents. Operating temperature: -10°C to +40°C. Storage: -20°C to +55°C.
Electrical Safety: The machine must be connected to an earthed supply. Use the recommended fuse size. Never touch live parts (torches, cables, electrodes) while the machine is on. Disconnect from the grid and wait 2 minutes before opening the device to allow capacitors to discharge.
Fire and Explosion: Keep flammable materials at least 11 meters away. Do not weld near grease or paint.
Installation
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel with the welding machine disconnected from the power supply.

- Unclip the plastic cover on the welding machine.
- Unscrew the front and rear screws (or side screws depending on the model) to prepare for mounting.
- Connect the two connection cables from the cooling unit to the welding machine and tuck excess cable length into the cooling unit.
- Refix the screws through the frame of the cooling unit to secure it to the welding machine.
Cooling Liquid
The tank must be filled to the MAX level. Never let it drop below the MIN level, or a warning message will appear. Use only the coolant recommended by the manufacturer (ref. 052246). Using other coolants, such as automotive coolant, can cause electrolysis, leading to solid deposits that block the cooling circuit and void the warranty.
Maintenance
Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified person. Ensure the machine is unplugged and the ventilator has stopped before working on the unit. Remove the casing 2-3 times a year to remove dust. Check power cables and connections regularly. The cooling liquid must be changed every 12 months to prevent sediment buildup.

Troubleshooting
The device integrates a default management system. Errors and anomalies are reported directly to the welding machine's display. Refer to the troubleshooting chapter of your welding machine's manual for specific error codes and remedies.
Warranty
The warranty covers faulty workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase (parts and labour). It does not cover transit damage, normal wear, misuse, or environment-related failures.

Common problems
Ensure the unit is properly connected to the TIG machine and that the TIG machine was off during the connection process.
Check the cooling liquid level. It must be between the MIN and MAX indicators.
Check for blockages in the water circuit and ensure the correct coolant (ref. 052246) is used.
Before use
- Ensure the unit is placed on a flat surface with a maximum incline of 10°.
- Verify the cooling liquid is filled to the MAX level.
- Ensure the TIG machine is disconnected from the power supply before installation.
- Check that the work area is well-ventilated.
- Ensure the ventilation holes are not blocked.
