The GYS 052925P is a hot stapling system designed specifically for repairing car bumpers. This guide covers the essential steps for safe and effective operation. Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses during use, especially when cutting staple legs. The device operates at temperatures up to 200°C, so handle with caution to avoid burns.
Instructions of use
- Plug the device into a standard 230V power supply and turn the ON/OFF switch to ON.
- Set the temperature control knob based on the material thickness: Low for thin plastics, Medium for plastics around 5mm, and High for thick, hard plastics.
- Ensure the staple holder switch is not activated.
- Insert the appropriate staple type into the holder.
- Prepare the plastic parts by holding them together.
- Press the staple holder switch for at least 10 seconds to heat the staple.
- Gently insert the hot staple into the plastic. Once inserted, turn it slightly to ensure a secure hold.
- Release the switch and hold the staple in position until it cools down.
- Withdraw the tool, leaving the staple head embedded in the plastic.
- Use cutting pliers to trim the protruding staple legs. If necessary, use a grinder or sander to smooth the surface.
- For larger repairs, repeat the process, placing staples every 1 to 3 cm.
Safety
- Use only for bumper repair.
- Do not use near flammable substances.
- Do not operate with wet hands or gloves.
- Always unplug the device when left unattended.
- Allow the staple holder to cool completely before storing in the plastic case.
- Children aged 8 and above may use the device only under supervision.
Staple identification
The device comes with a starter kit containing 20 staples of each type. Refill boxes (Ref. 052413) are available, containing 50 of each type. Available staple types include: V (internal narrow angle), U (crack alignment), N (important crack), W (internal angle), and M (external angle).
