This document provides installation and operation instructions for the Hager Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) series rated 16-63A. Wiring diagrams
The device supports both 1-phase and 3-phase electrical installations. Refer to the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to ensure correct connection of L1, L2, L3, and Neutral (N) lines. Ensure all connections are secure and follow local electrical regulations.
Installation
Installation involves connecting the device to the electrical circuit. The manual outlines three connection methods (A, B, and C) depending on whether you are using busbars or cables. Use a torque screwdriver set to 3.2 Nm to tighten the terminal screws securely. Ensure the wire insulation is stripped to a maximum of 14mm.
Operation and testing
The device features a simple ON/OFF switch mechanism. To ensure the RCCB is functioning correctly, use the Test button. It is recommended to perform this test periodically (e.g., monthly) to verify the tripping mechanism. The device is certified to trip under a current of 5*I∆n in accordance with standard DIN VDE 0100-410.
Accessories
The RCCB is compatible with various auxiliary accessories, including the CZ001 (CA + SD) and MZ203/MZ206 modules. These can be attached to the side of the breaker to extend its functionality.
Safety and warranty
A warranty period of 24 months is offered from the date of manufacture for material or manufacturing defects. The warranty is void if the device is installed contrary to IEE wiring regulations or accepted industry practices. In case of nearby work activities, ensure the installation is protected against dust.
