Safety Warnings
General Power Tool Safety Warnings: Always keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away. Ensure power tool plugs match the outlet and avoid body contact with earthed surfaces. Use personal protective equipment, including eye protection, dust masks, and hearing protection when impact drilling.
Battery Tool Use and Care: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact occurs, flush with water.
Operation
Before using the tool, ensure the battery is fully charged. Insert the battery firmly into the charger. The pilot lamp indicates the charging status: blinking red for before/complete charging, solid red for charging, and flickering red for charging impossible. If the battery is overheated, the charger will enter standby mode until the battery cools down.
Maintenance and Inspection

- Tool Inspection: Using a dull tool degrades efficiency and may cause motor malfunction. Sharpen or replace the tool as soon as abrasion is noted.
- Mounting Screws: Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure they are properly tightened.
- Motor Maintenance: The motor unit winding is the heart of the power tool. Ensure the winding is not damaged or wet with oil or water.
- Carbon Brushes: Replace carbon brushes when they reach the wear limit. Always use genuine HiKOKI carbon brushes (Code No. 999054).
Disposal
Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material. In accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
