Product Overview
The HiKOKI CV 14DBL and CV 18DBL are professional-grade cordless multi-tools engineered for precision and versatility. These tools are ideal for various tasks such as flush cutting, pocket cutting, removing tiles, and polishing wood materials. They feature two operating modes: Standard Mode, which allows manual adjustment of vibration frequency (6000–20000 min-1), and AUTO Mode, which automatically adjusts the frequency based on workload to reduce vibration and noise.
Safety Information
Always follow general power tool safety warnings. Wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. Keep children and bystanders away during operation. Disconnect the battery before making adjustments or changing accessories. Use only designated battery packs and chargers to prevent fire or injury risks.
Operation and Charging
Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged using the specified charger. The charger features a pilot lamp to indicate charging status: blinking red for before/complete, solid red for charging, and flickering for malfunctions. Always allow the charger to rest for 15 minutes between consecutive charging cycles. To operate, select the desired mode (Standard or AUTO) using the dial and ensure the application tool is not in contact with the workpiece when starting.

Maintenance and Inspection
Regularly inspect the application tool for dullness or damage, as continued use can overload the motor. Periodically check all mounting screws to ensure they are properly tightened. Keep the motor clean and free from oil or water. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water; avoid solvents that may melt plastic components.
Storage and Disposal
Store the tool in a dry place below 40°C, out of reach of children. Ensure the battery is fully charged before long-term storage. Do not dispose of electric tools with household waste; follow local environmental regulations for recycling.
