Charging procedure
- Connect the power cord to the charger's AC inlet.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Insert the battery firmly into the charger as shown in the diagram.
- The battery charging indicator will blink green during charging and light up continuously when charging is complete.
- After charging, disconnect the power cord and remove the battery from the charger.
Indicator lights
- Blinking Green: Charging in progress.
- Lit Up Green: Charging complete.
- Blinking Red: Charging impossible (malfunction in battery or charger).
- Lit Up Red: Overheat standby (battery is too hot; charging will start once it cools).
Safety and maintenance
Safety precautions: Never disassemble the charger or battery, do not short-circuit the battery, and do not insert foreign objects into the ventilation slots. Always use the specified charger and genuine HiKOKI replacement parts.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect mounting screws and tighten if loose. Clean the charger with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chloric solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner as they can melt plastic components.

Warning indicator lights up red (overheat standby)
The battery is too hot. Let it cool down before attempting to charge again.
Warning indicator blinks red
Check for foreign objects in the battery connector. If none are found, the battery or charger may be malfunctioning; take it to an authorized service center.

- Check that the charger and battery terminals are free of dust, moisture, or metal particles.
