Device Description
The C 18DBAL is an 18V cordless circular saw designed for cutting various types of wood. It features electronic control, including soft-start, overload protection, and overheat protection.
Operation
The saw features a mode selection function (Power mode / Silent mode). Press the mode selector switch to toggle between modes. Silent mode reduces motor RPM for quieter operation. The tool automatically switches to Power mode if the load increases during Silent mode.
Battery Charging
Before use, charge the battery using the specified charger. Insert the battery firmly into the charger. The pilot lamp indicates the charging status: blinking red (before charging), solid red (charging), blinking red (charging complete), or flickering red (malfunction).
Maintenance and Inspection
- Saw blade: Sharpen or replace dull blades immediately to prevent motor malfunction.
- Mounting screws: Regularly inspect and tighten all mounting screws.
- Lower guard: Keep the lower guard clean and ensure it moves freely and retracts automatically.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chlorine solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner.

Common problems
Motor stops during operation
This may be due to the protection function. Release the switch, eliminate the cause of overloading, and let the battery cool if necessary.
Pilot lamp on charger flickers
Check for foreign objects in the charger's battery connector. If none, the battery or charger may be malfunctioning; contact an authorized service center.
Battery does not charge
Ensure the battery is inserted correctly. If the pilot lamp does not blink, the protection circuit may be activated; unplug the charger for 30 seconds and reconnect.
Before use
- Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
- Check that the lower guard closes freely and instantly.
- Verify the saw blade is sharp and compatible.
